Walking Days 37-42

A Wooded Hike

Day 40

Hiking up and down a windy path this evening, knowing the trail should wrap around to the exit and yet not sure if we would make it out before dark.

  • But we made it out!
  • I love hiking in the woods. I’m in my element with the trails, the exposed roots, the wildflowers, the moss and the towering trees.
  • 3.8 miles of walking, winding, tripping, and laughing
  • We had a great hike. It took about an hour and a half. On a paved flat road, we would have tracked many more miles, but the winding, narrow trails gave us more of a workout and a beautiful experience.

Quote of the Day

If the winter is too cold and the summer is too hot, you are not a hiker.
